Richard Brandi
Richard Brandi is a fourth generation San Franciscan. He
was born in the Mission and raised in Visitacion Valley where
his ancestors owned a farm from 1880 - 1929. He graduated
from Lick-Wilmerding High School and earned a BA from UC Berkeley
and an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
Richard enjoys researching and photographing San Francisco's
history and architecture. He has written for the Western
Office of the National Trust, San
Francisco Architectural Heritage, San
Francisco Museum and Historical Society, San
Francisco City Guides and the Western
Neighborhoods Project.
Richard Brandi is a resident of West Portal since 1986. Richard's
history of West Portal, including Forest Hill and St. Francis
Wood, is available from Arcadia Publishing.
