Deanna Kastler
Deanna L. Kastler was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio,
and worked for
United Airlines as a reservation sales agent in the international
department
for thirty-one years until her retirement in 1997. This job
gave her the
opportunity to live in Honolulu for seven years and in San
Francisco since
1976, and to travel around the world, to study history, art
history and the
cultures of the world. Deanna has been a member of the San
Francisco Museum
and Historical Society since 1989, and has made many contributions
as
Program Coordinator, Secretary of the Board of Directors and
Office
Administrator. She has created three walking tours, the Cemetery
History
Walk of Laurel Hill, Jordan Park and Lone Mountain, Stairway
of the Gods
to Mount Olympus, and a Walk Along the Barbary Coast Trail
from Union
Square to Yerba Buena Gardens. She has led walking tours and
has lectured
on San Francisco history for Elderhostel groups for several
years.
